Process

1. Initial Consultation

Our initial consultation focuses on gathering information about your needs, preferences, and budget. We encourage our clients to create a wish list and gather photos or images of designs that they find appealing before the consultation. During our meeting, we will discuss the scope of the project, potential design concepts, and your expected timeframe for starting and completing the project. This timeline is important, as it will influence decisions regarding available products to meet the expectations of your builder.  We will also explore your final vision for the space, including your desired style, functionality, and lifestyle. This meeting will take place in your home or at the jobsite.

2. Ballpark Estimate

The typicall cost estimate for kitchen remodel interior materials and finishes can range from 25 to 30% of the property's value. This variation depends on the level of detail and the quality of materials chosen. As a general guideline,  budget about 15%-25% for basic products, while 30% or more is recommended for high-end designer finishes keeping in mind that this  does not include the cost of labor and construction. The construction costs will be provided by your builder.

We provide a ballpark estimate 24-48 hours after our initial consultation is completed, based on the size and complexity of your project, your wish list, and the materials you want to use.

We include our project fee and charge an hourly rate for all consultations and meetings before retaining our services.

3. The collaborative design process

Once we've gained your trust and you decide to proceed with us, we will collect our deposit from our fee schedule, and the exciting journey begins.

We begin creating your 3D kitchen plans based on the architectural blueprints or measurements taken from your home. Our 3D renderings provide a visual and realistic representation of your design, making it easier to understand the proposed project. You will be able to visualize the space, materials, and layout in an immersive and relatable way. This leads to better communication, faster decision-making, and a higher level of satisfaction.

During this stage, we will select important design elements such as cabinets, appliances, countertops, backsplashes, lighting, flooring, sinks, and faucets. We will also coordinate with project partners, including your contractor, architect, and cabinet maker. This collaborative process allows us to address any time-sensitive needs and lead times, ensuring efficient design execution.

We may schedule periodic visits to your home or project site to confirm measurements and discuss selections.

4. Ordering

When you are fully satisfied with your design and material selections, and all decisions regarding content and finishes have been made, we will finalize a project spreadsheet. Most cabinet manufacturers require a 50% deposit to place your order in their production schedule. We prioritize ordering items with the longest lead times first, ensuring that all other finishes are ordered to arrive before the installation phase begins. It’s important to allow time to check that all items arrive safely and accurately before they are needed.

Before placing any orders, we need the client's sign-off and approval, which must be provided via a signature.
